Text Messaging for Emergency Preparedness Project
Let me introduce myself, my name is Jewel Wright, I am a graduate student at the University of Washington- School of Public Health. I am working with Public Health- Seattle & King County on a SMS Text Messaging for Emergency Preparedness project. I am recruiting members, ages 18 to 29 to participate on an advisory board. This will give those who participate on the advisory board an opportunity to be involved in an innovative project that can impact the future of emergency preparedness here in Seattle and the King County area.
The advisory board’s role will be to provide feedback and make recommendations to Public Health about uses of text messaging, reviewing potential project tools, and participate in a small text messaging pilot project. Participants will be asked to attend three meetings over the course of the upcoming months to accomplish these tasks. This will be a great opportunity for students to participate in a project that links new technology with public health practices.
If you have any questions about the Text Messaging project, please contact Jewel Wright at
