Northwest Resource Associates Needs Front-End Developer

Adoptuskids.org is administered as a cooperative agreement with the Department of Health and Human Services to provide an online resource for recruiting and connecting foster and adoptive families with children waiting in foster care.
The staff is responsible for the management, design, development, monitoring and maintenance of the Adoptuskids.org website.
Requirements:
- 2 years front-end web development experience (including dynamic database driven sites.)
- Expert knowledge of web standards, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and CSS
- Knowledge of PhotoShop and image manipulation for the web
- Basic knowledge of .NET framework and Visual Studio.
- Experience working on web-based application projects
- Ability to adapt, quickly pick up new technologies, and solve problems
- Experience developing for cross-browser compatibility and knowledge of accessibility standards
- Working knowledge of current usability standards and user-experience practices
- Ability to participate in technical requirements gathering and documentation processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Ajax and Flash a plus
- Visual design skills
- Familiarity with social media tools and channels
Responsibilities:
- Translating comps and wireframes into flexible and usable code templates.
- Rapid prototyping of new products and features
- Write front-end code in HTML/CSS, and Javascript
- Convert images for web display
- Work with project team to create, define and develop new site features
