UX Intern – User Experience (UX) Research, design & usability
Responsibilities:
You will be part of a team responsible for designing how people interact with products. This will be an opportunity for you to learn more about the commercial application of UX methodologies including remote user research and testing, information visualization, analysis, maps, flows and wireframes, and get first-hand experience in the entire design process, from concept to completion.
The UX intern will assist with user research, information architecture (IA), interaction design and usability testing.
Timeframe:
We are looking to fill an ongoing position as of January 19. Approximately 20 hrs per week, depending on your schedule and our workload. Our immediate need is for UX research assistance, with an ongoing need for assistance in all areas of UX research, design and usability.

We provide UX design, Analytics, eCommerce, Multivariate Testing, and Search Engine Optimization. We’ve worked with some of the biggest and best-known brands, including Microsoft, Qualcomm, Amazon, Expedia and Kodak. But we also work with companies you haven’t heard of yet—companies that sometimes have little more than a brilliant idea sketched on a piece of paper. Some of our most exciting work is making these ideas a reality.
Requirements:
- Pursuing a undergraduate or advanced degree in human computer interaction, human factors, Visual/Technical Communications or related field or equivalent work experience
- An understanding of user-centered design and ability to solve complex interaction design problems
- Knowledge of methods for gathering and analyzing UX research data
- Extremely well-organized, out-going, detail-oriented and performance oriented
- A creative thinker with excellent communication skills
- Ability to self-direct and manage time to meet milestones
- Technically savvy (You know your way around Visio, Omni Graffle, Illustrator, Photoshop or Fireworks)
- Working knowledge of HTML & CSS a plus
