AIGA Seattle: Jump Start
Thursday, February 25 | 7-8:30 p.m.
PONCHO Concert Hall, Cornish College of the Arts
710 East Roy Street, Seattle
Each year we invite a diverse panel of design professionals to speak to students and young professionals about career paths in design. This year’s panel will share valuable insight about the interview process, what design businesses look for in portfolios as well as future employees, and useful tips for getting a job. They’ll also talk about some of the varied possibilities in the design professions that they themselves have explored.
Panelists:
- Lisa Cerveny / Hornall Anderson Design Works
- Tony Gable / Gable Design Group
- Matt Mulder / Digital Kitchen
- Greg Martin / Ziba
- Callie Neylan / NPR (National Public Radio)
- Kari Strand / Tether
There will be an installation of student design work to view before the event, a raffle giveaway with exciting design prizes, and after the panel discussion an informal social event at the Deluxe Bar and Grill, where you can meet other designers from the community and continue the conversation.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Limited parking is available.
