Basscorp seeking Web Designer and Developer
A bit of background. At BaasCorp we are focused on innovation, and web related technologies. We build enterprise level e-commerce, desktop, and mobile-web publishing and have clients on multiple continents. As we are expanding we are trying to find some local skilled developers who would like to get into mobile web development, standard web development, and application development that spans both the Web and desktop environments.
To give you some of the tools we are currently using, Magento, SugarCRM, Drupal, and WordPress for CMS integration, jQuery, MVC using the Zend Framework, Cloud computing using Amazon Web Services, Rackspace and Azure. We also offer a flexible, dynamic work environment with a hybrid development methodology which is a mix of between Agile and test-driven development.
We can offer students a cutting edge place to work and we have offices in Bellevue as well as in the heart of Pioneer Square. The interns would be working out of our Pioneer Square office, which is easily accessible via public transportation, and has a number of restaurants, and places to relax in the area. BaasCorp is also actively involved in technology programs in the Seattle area, and the intern would be able to not just attend some of these functions but participate at events such as the recent Seattle Startup Weekend, WTIA sponsored events and more.
At the moment we were looking at two positions, a designer who would assist in projects, as well work as under the guidance and supervision of our development and marketing team to enhance our web presence. The second is a developer who would actively be involved in coding, with less of a graphical emphasis. Ideally we are looking for someone who is graduating or close to graduation and have no problem training someone if they are keen to learn.
