Design Intern Needed: Vergeworks.com

APPLICATION DEADLINE:      Friday, June 25th

Vergeworks (www.vergeworks.com), a web design and development firm run by SCCC Instructor Seth Syberg is looking for a web designer/producer for two upcoming projects.  The first project is an up and coming musician from San Francisco and the work will be mostly production.  The second (and more exciting) project is a new open source web application being released (for free) by Vergeworks.  The project is called My Digi Distro / Digidl and is an online music distribution application.  A beta is currently in use by a handful of independent music labels (including Don’t Stop Believing Records, and Orange Twin) and the software will be rolled out to the public in the near future.  There’s a ton of work to do on this one, so there will be no lack of work for the intern.

Both projects will be excellent portfolio pieces for anyone looking to boost their resume with some live sites/apps that may get some real attention in the coming years.  Interested applicants should contact Vergeworks at design_intern@vergeworks.com with a current resume and links to previous design and production work.  The position starts asap and the hours are fairly flexible (should require no more than 5-10 hours a week).  Though the internship is unpaid, it will likely lead to paid work with Vergeworks in the future.

This portion of the Premium Design Works website is written by Mike Sinkula and dedicated to the Web Design & Development students at Seattle Central Community College.
