Wildland Adventures Internship

Position Title: Program Development and Marketing Intern
Part time: 15-20 hrs/week, flexible schedule
Start date: ASAP
Length of internship: Flexible; at least one quarter/semester is required
Compensation: Unpaid internship

Primary Responsibilities and Opportunities:

Wildland Adventures is looking for an unpaid intern with exceptional writing and editing skills to help update, enhance and develop content on our adventure travel website. HTML skills and knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) are a plus but not required.

The intern will work with destination specialists to identify new content opportunities and edit existing pages. In addition, the work includes collaboration with the marketing director on projects including updating online trip listings for various feeder sites, social media, and other web-based marketing strategies.

In the course of completing these tasks interns will learn a variety of small business skills, particularly in the specialized area of adventure travel and ecotourism, such as sales and marketing, customer service, tour operations, business management and search engine optimization.

Our office is located in non-commercial area of North Seattle with a spectacular view of Mt. Rainer, Lake Washington, and the Cascade Range. Office features include gourmet kitchen, outdoor deck, office garden, and yard for staff dogs. Parking is available and several bus lines drop one block from the office.
