WEB160 » Writing for the What?!

Writing for the web will:

  • transform our old ideas of audience, structure and style
  • see that concept that we have inherited for writing for print media will begin to evolve and may even disappear

Our audience on the web:

  • is no longer just a passive recipient of information that we want to give them
  • might be the ones who start the communication, ask the questions and demand responses from us

We will find ourselves:

  • abandoning the idea of writing whole documents as a piece of fine literature and begin to focus on the components of those documents
  • writing in a medium that is read on a monitor which makes our text harder to read, more difficult to grasp as a whole and more blurry in our memories
